Round and round we go... through the motions... the serpent swallows its tail, uroboros... consuming oneself, sacrificing oneself... A self contained universe... A dream of life with special effects. Anything can happen... A catalogue of generic marvels...
Filmed in the first space occupied by the Centre of Attention in east London, Cycle was the Centre's early move into the production of art, as opposed to shows, attempting to blur boundary between art and curating.
The Centre of Attention is Pierre Coinde and Gary O'Dwyer. Its experimental approach stems from an ongoing enquiry into the phenomenon of art production, presentation, consumption and heritage-ization.
