well jus recently like since about 3 weeks ago every intermodal train i have seen heading west has has a DPU on the end. and some even had them when they were heading east, and this jus started recently

Totally awesome video. The grain elevator makes an excellent backdrop which makes the train seem almost model like.
Excellent work.

Steve, notice the CPR runs distributed power on intermodal lots, does CN seem to?

I understand they use it in the mountains but not so much on the plains. They have experimented with it here in the east but they have had technical problems.

Cool horn on that 8872, Steve. Are you anywhere near Caron, SK?

Chaplin is about half an hour west of Caron on the TCH (and railway). My father-in-law was raised in Caron, actually. How do you know Caron?

Good friends of mine, Don and Ann Parent, and their son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Debbie Parent, are down the road from the CP line in Caron. I passed through there March 2007 with the Tim Milner band when we made a stop at Briercrest College in Caronport. I saw two trains from a distance before and after our gig that day.

Ah, OK. It's hard to find people from that area of the world. :)
