I'm stepping up from the canon sx20is. I have considered the g12 and s95, but Should I get this one or save a few more dollars and get the lumix gh2 out in november? I heard the new gh2 has slow motion playback...

@PhotographyREVIEW do you know what is the highest memory card that this takes?
I don't get why we need to watch you unpack the camera if this is a review. I like the comparisons to other models for judging the actual size. Not to be overly critical but to me a review should be more than telling us what we can read on the spec sheet .. like your experience and opinion of usability, image quality, movie quality, etc. But appreciate your efforts.

@gchamp727 Thanks for the feedback. Note that I didn't call this a review in the title. If I'm just opening the box calling it a review wouldn't be right. A lot of people do like the box opening videos, though. When I do a real review it's in writiing, with lots of sample photos and you'll find it on the PhotographyREVIEW Web site :-)

wow that is not worth the price! i could get a nikon d300s body only for 1189!

@ithree6mafia They're very different cameras. If you value light and compact and video is important, then the GH1 is a far better camera than the D300s. If low light shooting and stills are your top priority, then the D300s is definitely the better choice.
