  • The old "they hate our freedom" argument that grayson makes is shameful.

  • I am supporting Rand Paul, but I did want to see the full debate. There is no reason to not show Trey Grayson's generic rhetorical attacks and positions.

  • Rand Paul is a good man, and he IS honest, his background is pretty much clean.

  • People are using way too loose of a definition of "Our" "we" didn't impose infanticidal sanctions on Iraq or install a brutal dictator in Iran, our gov't did that, and yes that resulted in the blowback of 9/11. That doesn't excuse OBL, but it does mean that our gov't's actions overseas has consequences and thus strengthens the case for non-intervention.

  • The 'career politician' line is a little disingenuous since his father could easily be lumped into this category...but I like Paul, and I'm glad he's in the Senate :)

  • @Nillok He is simply saying that there are grays in all issues, and that everything shouldn't be seen in black and white. There are unseen consequences for strict regulations that are strictly enforced, that sometimes simpler solutions exist in a government that wants everything to have a uniform solution.

  • @demmmmm1 I think you may have missed his point. He was saying that there are other solutions that can accommodate people with disabilities rather than having businesses buy elevators for two-story buildings (which they do, though they'd have to be 3000ft each story, so his example isn't as practical as other examples he could have gave) .

He doesn't want people with disabilities to be taken out of the workforce, nor does he want them all to work on the first floor in buildings at NYC.

  • @Nillok He said people in wheelchairs can work on the first floor. If his view is that lame, I highly doubt he'd do anything but strip whatever requirements he could to "free up business" so they'll "hire again."

  • @Nillok On "right-wingers." I use that term to refer to people who are unmistakably far right. It's just a faster way of saying, "people who...". I guess I picked that one up from Rush Limbaugh and other righties who uses the term "leftists."

  • @demmmmm1 No one wants to dump it though, Rand didn't say dump it. He might have said that he would have debated for different provisions in the rules to accommodate state governments input and local business, but he never said dump it.

  • @Nillok I never said it was perfect...far from it. But to dump it is a bit crazy. And I guess people with disabilities aren't immune from engaging in greedy stupid lawsuits.
