This is an original song I wrote from the perspective of an older person looking back on their long life with their family.

Look at this house filled with my children
Ive seen them get up and Ive seen them fall
With crooked smiles and voices laughing
Ive lived in this house and Ive watched it all

Look at this house filled with my daughters
This is the room where theyd comb their hair
Speaking of men who became their husbands
Out in the yard when their feet were bare

Chorus:
Now its the sky to which Im
Turning my eyes
These old feet feel light on the ground
Is there a heaven up in the sky?
Do we really ever get that high?

Look at this house filled with my children
Look at these places where they would play
These are the rooms that they would sleep in
This was a tear that I wiped from a face

Look at this house filled with my sons
Those were the woods where they used to run
This broken plastic was their weaponry
Hanging above is the same white sun

(Chorus)

Running around in this house forever
Running around in this house forever
