an expert panel recommends reducing the amount of fluoride - a chemical that helps prevent toot decay -- in drinking water. The panel says this, along with other measures, would better protect children from developing fluorosis, a mottling of the teeth that occurs with too much fluoride.

In a report posted to Health Canada's website, the panel also recommends encouraging the use of low-fluoride toothpaste by children between the ages of 0 and 3, and reducing the levels in infant formula.

The panel suggests a fluoride level of 0.7 parts per million. The current allowable range is 0.8 to one ppm.

Health Canada told CTV News that it will accept the recommendations, but the ultimate decision on implementation will be left up to individual municipalities.

In a report dated April 2008, the panel said the risk of dental fluorosis, mottling of the teeth, in children drove its recommendations.

  • Hydrofluorosilicic acid has never had a comprehensive study done on the effects of consumption, yet it's put in the water, fucking idiots and corruption.

If it melts concrete, kills livestock, and was used by the nazis, it must be safe to put in the water... chemical waste from aluminum and fertilizer plants which costs money to safely dispose of, sold to dump in the water.

Rotten teeth and weakened bones if you developed while exposed to it? Inhibits mental function? Not a problem.

  • Trendley Dean, DDS, the "father of fluoridation" admitted over 50 years ago under oath, that his data purporting to prove the fluoridation hypothesis were NOT valid. (H. Trendley Dean: Proceedings, City of Oroville vs. Public Utilities Commission of the State of California, Oroville, California, Oroville, California, October 20-21, 1955.)… also… (See 4-1: “Fluoridation Benefits — Statistical Illusion.” Testimony of Konstantin K. Paluev, Research and Development Engineer, Mar. 6, 1957).

  • Naturally occorring flouride is not the problem---if you do a litte research, you will find the flouride compund in drinking water is a by product of the aluminium industry---which is also not permitted to be "dumped" into the ecosystem...Namaste

  • Just because a substance is toxic in high doses doesn't mean that it is toxic in low doses. heck even radiation is good in low levels becuase it stimulates cellular repair mechanisms. Im not saying the two are the same but disolved inorganic fluorine is a natural micronutrient. I know this will piss off most people here, especially the uneducated.

  • Man do you know how smart society would get if we started to add Iodine to our water instead of Fluoride?IODINE INCREASES IQ,FLUORIDE DECREASES IQ! which one do you pick educate yourselves research iodine deficiency. That is why Europeans are smarter then Africans cause we consume more iodine. That would help everyone so much.

  • wtf take the floride out.

  • David Icke on Fluoride

  • Uhh, hello... Floride helps prevent tooth decay when applied to teeth.. Hence floride mouth wash and gels and shit like that... When was the last time you drank that shit? Straight up says on the bottle do not injest, yet we drink it by the truck load.

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! Look up this one video of these islanders who don't have dental care. They are sooooooooooo healthy and their teeth so shiney... At least the were until the disease of civilization came in anyways.... But yeah Lol at the fluoride thingy.
