Actually, we started pitching the idea to producers somewhere around 2004. Once our budget got approved the process got rolling. At first we were thinking about getting a bigname for the lead, possibly Spacey or maybe Crowe, but then we went with the unknown actor so the audience wouldn't have any preconceptions going in.
Well, once we drew up the storyboards we got going. We managed to shoot most of the footage in 3 weeks!
