  • @HandfullOfMinutes actually we're not that lucky. I couldn't learn to play piano because I saw notes as colours as well as letters as colours, so when I tried to remember which note was which it was too confusing because they were named after letters that were different colours.

  • @timeladyandshazamm97 Fair enough! As I say, the viewpoint of a non-synesthetic is always going to be a bit naive compared to that of someone who actually is one.

  • @HandfulOfMinutes Even though synesthesia makes mental math, music, and foreign language difficult, it does make music and words more beautiful. Yeah, we can see it as unlucky, but I see it as putting in a little extra work to get a bigger reward. I just picked up guitar, and I have to put in a little more effort, but I get beautiful sounds and colors as a result.

  • @yusmiffins That's really interesting! Thanks for chiming in.

  • i have synthesia and when i listen to 4:33 i can hear egg colours, sort of greys light blues and whites. isn't that odd.

  • @bluepebblecat That's fascinating! I've always felt that synesthetics are lucky in a way, but then I suppose what seems fantastic to me must be pretty normal to them - am I right?

    Okay... let's try this again.

  • I don't think this took away his valuable wine drinking time at all.

  • "And anybody in the comments who says that it isn't music will personnally get me coming around of their house and punching them in the face." It isn't music. Now come visit me, skip the punching part, i'll make some tea and we're gonna have a lovely chat featuring your amazing brain, you fascinating human being.

  • You leave Tater's ma out of it.

  • Lol it was a simpilar time :P

  • @timeladyandshazamm97 I find this interesting. I just googled synesthesia and I had no idea what to expect. It is a fascinating thing and I find it intriguing how you say you had trouble with learning to play piano whilst Hélène Grimauld and Franz Liszt both has synesthesia. I know that stuff like this varies from person to person but I didn't think it'd vary that much. Yeah, random input over.. Sorry Iif I've offended you, it wasn't my purpose :/

  • Its not music. So when will you be arriving at my house in terrible terrible america?

  • 4:33 is not music and any suggestion otherwise is misanthropic nonsense.

  • my future music teacher ^__^

  • oh my god - stop messing around with your hair!!

  • I think 4:33 is brilliant too. :3
