In an exclusive Fresh Dialogues interview, Robert Ballard, Ocean scientist of Titanic fame, discusses global warming. "It's too late...all the ice is going to melt," says Ballard. Yet he says we should still reduce our carbon footprint and population growth. Natural cycle or Human impact? Its both. Whenever you have a tremendous controversy both sides tend to be right and wrong. You do have the natural interglacial warming that were experiencing, but you are increasing the severity of it with the human footprint." • The interviewer is creepy.

  • This man is great!!!

  • I wonder how he feels about the issues around Fukushima and the similarity between japanese and american back up power sytem vulnerability?

  • He speaks the truth. Although this fact is hard to swallow, we have to realize that the human race is overpopulating the earth. I'm not endorsing the killing of a family's third child, we simply need to be more conscious as we move into the future.

  • @gunsandbullhorns I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just saying that Thomas Malthus has always been right. Perhaps H. sapiens haven't been wiped out YET, but thousands of other specie have. Why do you think there are no more Austrolipethecus or Neanderthals, or Cromagnon? It's just a matter of time now.

  • @spyked1

Seriously, dude? You think you can accuse me of having my head in the sand? Would you care to debate any aspect of this controversy with me?

  • @gunsandbullhorns oh no! wait and see. Or else stick yer noggin back in the sand m8. Not that it matters anyway. At least your last days will be of blissful ignorance while mine will be... ach what does it matter:(

  • I like the idea of fresh dialogues.

However I only got one channel of audio which sounds awful because it is the top mic on the camera.

The guest had a mic on, how come you didn't use it?

Also cam operator needs help in the composition department... big gap on the right of screen had me waiting for someone to enter.

  • 21 eh? little puppy

  • I do say so, fool.
