I missed my call-up by 2yrs, but I have all of the respect in the world for the SANDF and especially for the brave and hard men of 32BN! Thank you for what you did and for giving some of us yongsters the icons to look up to. I sincerely hope that all of you find some peace in that what you did and sacrificed is still appreciated by the likes of the younger generation and will never, ever be forgotten! Thank you for everything!

This is very sad for me, that men of this ilk are abandoned and ignored and the reigning president goes to Angola to honour the enemy. Now I know that we are no longer wanted or respected in the land of our birth. Called up, trained, instucted then forsaken, this is not right.

Why wasn't this camp looked after? I'm amazed that the Namibians didnt try to build something on top of the existing structures. It looks like they just let it rot. Is it possible to visit?

I love the music from the Black Hawk Down. It gives it an eerie feel. Its really sad what happened to these guys from 32. From what i've read, they were a phenomenal group of soldiers
