where is this at???? I can hear some black powder guns or cannons being fired in the background,is this in the U.S. or someplace else?

It is quite hard - i guess im focused on what im doing - its not quite down to the final chopping yet . The wood is ash and its for a Welsh stick chair seat. You can usually finish with that adze if the grain lends itself . The adze is from sweden by a tool maker called Hans Karlsson. Its a specific chair makers one with a curved blade - quite light in weight - i've had a second made by him which was heavier again - i think its a unique one-off ! I love adzing, very addictive.

That's probably a lot harder than it looks!

hey where did u get that adze?
-
@nvydvr81 LOL! if he was trying to hollow out a log for a canoe or something he would probably be wailing away with that adze. But it looks like hes just doing some light hollowing for a seat....rocking chair perhaps?

what do you mean ?

put your purse down and friggin use the adze already!
this was filmed at a Woodland Area at the CLA Fair, UKa few years ago. it was a very windy day, hence the booming in the background. was with neil a few weeks ago and he hasn't chopped his foot off yet!
