  • Who are the nine buffoons who disliked this??

  • grandioso !!!!!!

  • @1olrocker well it's not an Elvis performance it's an Elvis movie. during the 60's they made Elvis family friendly in his movies. so if you don't like this version then just don't listen to it.

  • this version is the exact recording on the elvis gold records vol 4

  • @1olrocker It all began at a party in Palm Springs, California in early December 1970.

In a conversation with Vice President Agnew at the party, Elvis expressed his concern for what he felt were threats to American culture posed by, not only the British Invasion, but also the drug culture, the radical SDS, the hippies and the Black Panthers. Three weeks later, Elvis, accompanied by two body guards, was bound for Washington, DC aboard an American Airlines flight.

  • A Good Ray Charles cover!!!!

  • this scene was sped up a little bit for the film right? lol

  • Of every member of the bands I mentioned, only Paul McCartney was knighted, and he wasn't knighted until 1997. Quit talking out of your backside and do research before you post something. Whether they promoted drug use or not is immaterial. Elvis was on uppers, downers, and a pharmacy full of quacked out meds prescribed by his personal, but incompetent, physician. And Ray Charles covered Eleanore Rigby by choice. Trust me on that too: he was one who NEVER did anything anyone told him he had to.

  • @1olrocker I think Johnny Rotten nailed it with "God save the Queen" or the Clash with "White Riot"

  • @1olrocker well, you sure know your Rock and Roll, and the British invasion bands you mentioned all promoted drug use, and the Queen was right there to hand out knighthoods. That's what Elvis warned the president about. Something I find disturbing is when a totally accomplished American bluesman or star had to cover the Beatles, Ray Charles for example sang Elenore Rigby...the British invasion virtually killed jazz...
