The Vatican wanted a Pope with silver-haired good looks, and the charisma necessary to bring people back to the church.

The underworld wanted a Pope with allegiance to the mob, and the larceny necessary to bring the church abundant riches under their control.

No one wanted the pope to be an overweight, bumbling nobody like Father Albinizi...but due to clerical error, Albinizi gets the job!

Now the church is embarrassed...the mob is furious, and Albinizi is confused. He spends his days waving at crowds and dodging bullets...until he becomes a man with a mission. He's going to clean up the church even if it kills him!

Funniest thing about it is how the vatican can't take a joke :p I can't find this damn movie anywhere, been looking for about ten years, I'm convinced they've pulled every copy :p
