not trying to sound like a dick, but the only thing i liked about his video was how clean your fills were. other than that, i was very disappointed. :(

And you should hit the cymbals a bit harder to get the full crash effect :) I've heard stuff like you should hit lighter when you're recording, so its easier to mix, but I don't think thats what they meant. Get the full sound outta them :)

I liked the mix you did on the drum, except the snare. It doesn't breathe. The rest of the drumset does, but the snare doesn't sound acoustically right compared to the rest of the drumset. That was probably an editing mistake. The closed hi-hat sounded a bit confined too. And the bass drum probably could use a bit more tweaking on the EQ. Probably turn down the mids. But overall, not a bad mix. The drums sound good, just the snare and the hi-hat sound like they were recorded in different rooms.

does those rings you have inside you toms would sound better and louder with some plastic or paper rings (on top of the heads of course)

I personally think that the rings I have in my toms would sound a lot better than the plastic rings that you can place outside the head..

the snare looks like a tom head... i tryed to use a tom head just to see if i could get a good sound but you need a more controled tone.

its a very old Ludwig rocker head... I just got the snare from a friend before I recorded this video... So i didn't get to get a new head lol.... opps lol
