Mayer's latest Decca release "Bonjour Paris" explores French repertoire, featuring original works for oboe (Francaix, D'Indy) and familiar French melodies by Debussy, Faure, Ravel, Satie & Hahn, Faure and Debussy.

The smooth, accomplished oboe playing of Albrecht Mayer (principal oboe with the Berlin Philharmonic), is backed by the acclaimed chamber orchestra of The Academy of St Martin in the Fields conducted by Albrecht himself.

Bonjour Paris is released in August 2010 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and will be released internationally in February 2011.

er spielt einfach unglaublich gut, man kann es nicht abstreiten, ich liebe sein spiel so sehr und es ist für mich als oboisten so unerreichbar, ähnlich gut zu werden..doch ganz ehrlich...dieser aufzug, dieses video...er ist echt nen bonziger popstar irgendwie xD jedenfalls kommt es krass kitschig und übertrieben gestellt...das macht seine musik jedoch nicht schlechter, was :D
