This P2 Varicam test footage was shot on both the Panasonic AJ-HPX3700 and AJ-HPX2700 at Marwell Zoological Park, Richmond Park and The Wetlands Centre in Barnes by Daryl Chase and John Funnell.
On Sight took delivery of the UK's very first (tape based) Varicam in 2002 and also placed the very first orders for both of the new P2 versions at NAB in 2008. This is raw ungraded footage shot using only available light over two days in October 08.

  • WTF was the deer doing with it's dick? lol Nice cam though

  • I have noticed that the P2 cameras have the most filmic look of all the digital cameras I have shot with.Panasonic should drop their 1/3 sensors and stick with only 2/3 inch and or make even larger like 4/3.Otherwise you have a HD camera with lots of ugly grain.A small company like Red can do it at a affordable price. So should Panasonic.

  • We got our hands on the 2700 model.

On Sight shot some breathtaking footage- beautiful stuff, guys! We wanted to test the in camera ramping feature as well as low light performance so we shot a fight sequence during our tests.
