Callsign LAUSA 910 is the daily virtual service between Paris Charles De Gaulle & San Francisco via Newark and is usually operated by the MD-11 or Boeing 747-400. This flight is real time real weather (Active Sky Evolution) and begins on the ground at Paris.



Brief Virtual Airline Description:
London Aviators USA is a fictional virtual airline that is based in San Francisco and London Heathrow. The airline operates a variety of Beechcraft, Bombardier, Boeing and Airbus aircraft such as the A321, A346, B772, B738/9 B744 AND MD-11 on domestic and international flights from San Francisco and London Heathrow. LAUSA AIR also operates virtual AEROMED flights on a virtual contract basis for LAUSA sponsor Air Medical Group.

Cross The Pond is a bi-annual event which takes place on VATSIM (Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network). The event features a mass Oceanic crossing, with full ATC coverage, from Western Europe, to the United States & Canada. Cross The Pond is one of the highlights of the VATSIM event calendar, and an occasion looked forward to by pilots and controllers alike every year.

This year the Westbound event is taking place on Saturday 26th March 2011. Departure slots will be available for four hours, starting at 1100z, from four featured airports in Europe. Arrivals will filter into five airports in North America throughout the evening.

Pilots can expect full ATC coverage for the duration of their crossing; slots can be booked from the "Pilot" section of this website. There are 450 available slots in total, and these will open on March 3rd.

It is essential that all pilots participating in the event read, in its entirety, the Pilot Briefing material. This explains the procedures being implemented for the event.

  • Hello. I was a controller in Moncton - I think you flew with me but diverted to either Boston or EWR. I think you had an engine out too?
