my Narrators were Barbara Eden (i dream of Jeannie) Brian Dennehey (who?) and Mary Hart (entertainment tonight) who wacked herself on the head with the mic when trying to step to the podium.
im not sure what the argument was down there..but hey. for Highschool choirs, it sounded pretty good to me. why be a prick and knock down a bunch of kids who are just singing because they love it, and because, hell man, singing for DISNEY?! that's FUN!! I myself was a performer at Candlelight in 97, 98, and 99. yeah.we weren't professional. so what? i had a fun time and i got goosebumps being a part of something so great. Dont be a jerk. just appreciate it for what it is!! Merry Christmas!!
Did this in HS in 1999. Was awesome. Our narrator was James Avery. (Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince). Then in April of 2000 we all went to NYC to sing at Carnegie Hall for the National Youth Choir. Was awesome.
@AidanDelano This is obviously going nowhere and i dont want to waste my time, so let's just agree to disagree. You being the true "art" expert that you are, think that this concert was great. I disagree....deal with it. Whether you like my voice or not could matter less to me coming from you. Don't waste anymore of your precious artist time trying to make me believe that I am wrong and you are right, and dont waste anymore of my time reading your shit. Goodbye.
@thatoperaguy Well, your concerts must not have been that great then because after having visited your profile, you don't sing that well, to be honest. I don't presume, by the way, as I do in fact know what art is as an artist myself. A true artist knows how to critique instead of simply commenting in a truly assenine way "ugh, sound like ~insert insult here~" is not the way an opinion should be based.
@AidanDelano I've performed at candlelight my entire high-school life and I'm performing at it twice this year as well. Just because I have a harsh opinion about how the candlelight choir tends to sound does not mean I don't appreciate art or that I'm placing myself on a pedestal. If anything it means I have very very high expectations for a group that I know was hand-picked. I was dissapointed with the sound, that is all. The prick here who presumes to know what "real art is" is you not me.....
