Famous Studios Popeye the Sailor cartoon. Popeye and Olive are in Mexico and attend a bullfight at the arena where the star toreador is none other than Senor Bluto. While Olive is impressed with Bluto the toreador, Popeye sets out to show that he is also skilled at bullfighting.

  • I know for a fact that "El Spinachio" is not the proper Spanish translation for spinach

  • @s275ironman what is then?

  • cactus butt LOL

  • im i the only one that notices that the popeye eating the spinach scene is the same exact one in private eye popeye

  • @MatthewtheY Yeah---subtract one minute. These old fingers don't always hit the number keys just right. I've always been better with words...it comes from watching cartoons.

  • @MatthewtheY Oops. It's at 5:14

  • @zuiderzee98 I think you mean at 5:17 - 6:17 is the end of the picture!

  • @maciekur Judging by his accent, no real reason to doubt it.

  • Popeye plays a mean bull-fiddle solo at 3:37. Check out Olive's imitation of Sarah Bernhardt at 6:17--what an actress. And what's with Popeye's unnamed brand of spinach?--It doesn't stay with him for very long. The inter-borough (burro) subway was a larf.

  • The part where Popeye uses the bull as a guitar is hillarious. Also love this quote "This monkey's too good, and dat's bad."
