I don't understand why this fandom erupts into arguments over who's better between Kikyo and Kagome. I adore them both. Kikyo is easily my favourite female in this anime, but that doesn't mean I hate Kagome. I think Kikyo knows she can't be with InuYasha and, despite how much it pains her, has come to accept it. If anything, I dislike InuYasha because he's so indesicive when it comes to them. If Kikyo and Kagome could develop their relationship into a friendship, I think it would work well <3

I wish I could say that I like Kagome more, but her tendency to a mary-sue and the fact that all of her victories involve the hard work and sacrifice or orders of someone else, just makes me feel like the only reason she's so strong is because she's standing on the the shoulders of someone else. Out of context, if I consider her to be Kikyou's student and not her "rival" I can partially stand her, but most of the time, I just hate how she's made to be bigger then what she is without explanation.

I like both but if have to choose then it is Kikyo by far. I really don't get all hate she gets, How would you feel and act if the man you loved "betrayed" and "killed" you. And then you are brought back to life just to suffer more by having to see the man you love with someone else and have to collect souls in order to survive? What is even worse, that someone is her reincarnation. Imagine sister stealing your boyfriend!

The worst she did was to try to take Inuyasha to Hell without permission.

This is my #1 favorite anime, and idk why ppl have to do such pitiful little competitions, like Kikyo vs. Kagome, for example.. It's just pain stupid V_V

The only reason Inuyasha was willing to change into a human was because he wanted to be with Kikyo just as much. But i definitely would have done what kagome would have, tell him that i loved him just the way he was.

but I still really like her. I really like both girls, and can see these two as friends in the right conditions. Seriously, InuYasha should just back off. If he didn't have feelings for either of them, then the jealousy could fade, and boom! Friendship! All in all, I'm a kikyo and kagome friend fan! I call easily call this my favorite episode. <3
