Dr Adrian Lock, from the Boundary Layer Group at the Met Office, leads the research group which works to increase our understanding of, and ability to predict, boundary layer clouds. In this video, Adrian explains his work and the L G Groves award he received for it. These prestigious awards, in memory of Sergeant Louis Grimble Groves, who was killed at the end of the Second World War during aircraft sorties to make meteorological observations, are presented annually to Met Office staff and are highly valued.
