  • Poor Eric. I loved seeing him as a human with a family he loved (and showing that even chicks in his time recognized him as a hottie with a body)

  • So what are these ancient and powerful vampires with nordic origins doing in fucking Louisiana??

  • I am proud of my Scandinavian background as well, so glad that they added a Viking character. The only problem is that Vikings didn't speak modern day Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish, they spoke Old Norse. The people of Iceland and The Faroe Islands still speak dialects of that language, which is different than the modern Scandinavian languages.

  • It's so great to finally hear some Swedish again! I love it when Alexander speaks Swedish. So hot! Sweden loves you, Skarsgård ;)

  • Who acts the father (the king)? His Swedish is really good.

  • @StephanieB1010 the sister is made by Godric...his vampire sister

  • @lobsterdfw1 lol good point

  • @Albolu They obviously used Swedish because it's Skarsgård's mother language. But to be as historically correct as possible, they should've talked Icelandic instead. If you look at Swedish runestones, the language they used resemble modern Icelandic quite a bit. Iceland hasn't had as many influences as the Scandinavian languages have since the Viking age, so it's a very interesting country.

  • @Albolu I suppose it was Swedish, I never say or write that it was surely Swedish!

I say that because Alexander is Swedish, the language seems Swedish and I've asked to a friend of mine who speaks Swedish :)

  • @StephanieB1010 Nora was turned by Godric making her Eric's "sister" that way. Not realted by blood but through their maker :)

  • @ArwenUndomiel87 They shouldn't have used Swedish, though. They should have used Old Norse. But I realise that's too difficult. lol

  • @Lunarlilly I know in this video she dint but in the new season comming out they said his sisters gonna be in the show so I was wondering how she must of survived this to be in season 5
