you wont see every noob with it because you have to unlock slugs after a bunch of kills lol. Slugs are great at almost any range while with buck/flechette you can often even fail at point blank ranges.

But like i said theres a learning curve so you won't see every noob running with slugs.

i got over 170 kills in one game with 45 deaths and i didnt miss an single shot i swear and i was using 870 mcs with slugs at all ranges

I love the 870, after about 4 games with it I hade a service star for it, I have the spas, and I will start using that

well but if you master the slugs you can completely dominate the game, while with buck/flechette you can never be too good.

I'm sure you could survive a slug at close to mid range. Obviously dice made slugs like that to add to the game's semi-realism. With slugs you simply are gaining more range in exchange for loosing some of your accuracy and ease of use of the weapon. It doesn't take much to get good with slugs, but there is a learning curve, so they aren't that op.
