There are multiple clubs that hire flair bartenders. They actively seek out flair to add a special touch and grab customers eyes. Anyone who flairs at work knows when it is acceptable, and when it is not. 4 deep, it is straight pour time but as a flair bartender, if you have the time, flair is a great way to show that you are a professional and care about your trade enough to take the time to go above and beyond the status quo.

First off, a big thankyou for upload these amazing videos. The tutorials are great, by far the best I have seen on Youtube. And believe me, I have watched a lot of tutorials.
You actually take the time to explain every single move, step by step, so that anyone with any patience can learn. I have only stumbled across these video tonight and have already grasped the first 9 moves.
Well done. I have everything to host my own cockatil party except the skills. Thanks to you, that will change!

Thank you
Hey, I'm just wondering what size the pourer your using on your bottles at work? I'm in the UK and I think if I poured out of the bottles at work for that long I would get about a quarter of a pint... :/ Or maybe I am just imagining that...

@gamesmad Hehe, great question. I'm using a Spil-Stop 285-50. It's my favorite for a most consistent, steady pour. Obviously, I'm doing the trick slower during the tutorial, but once you get comfortable with this move, you should be able to perform it and only pour about an ounce, maybe 1.25 oz, perfect for most drinks.

Well im kinda having a hard time to make an argument in my third language but in the electro-scene where i work noone wants to see some douche behind the bar doing gay ass tricks! they want to get their drink afap and enjoy the music/atmosphere and the party itsself! this might bring u more customers when ur aimed customer is 45 and is at no point involved with the clubbing scene...
still well done video but for me this got nothing to do with serious bartending this is simply some juggling trick

I've been called a lot worse than a gay ass douche...
Maybe it's cuz I often get distracted by shiny things, but I love watching good flair bartenders. Anyone can make a rum & coke; entertaining my pants off while you're doing it makes me want to come back and spend more (which is what my customers do each week.) And it's not just Americans - it's popular in London, Macau, Tokyo, Seoul, etc. Check out the FBA - half their membership is outside the US. Of course, they're not serious bartenders:)
