Inauguración y estreno serie 8400 línea 6 metro de madrid

Inauguración y primer viaje de los trenes de la serie 8000 para la línea 6 (Circular) del metro de Madrid. El acto, presidido por la presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre y el alcalde del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, comenzó a las 12:00 en el depósito de Metro en Laguna. Tras revisar 3 de las nuevas composiciones e impartir sendos discursos, los anfitriones, su comitiva y la prensa iniciaron el primer viaje con pasajeros a bordo de la composición 14 (M-8487 a M-8492) de la subserie bitensión, correspondiente a la 4ª de esta nueva remesa (recordemos que con el primer pedido de la serie 8000, realizado en 1999, se adquirieron 10 trenes bitensión de 3 coches).

El convoy se desplazó hasta la estación de Laguna para recoger sus primeros viajeros y emprendió su marcha por la vía 1 (sentido antihorario). La Comitiva descendió en la estación de Arganzuela-Planetario, aunque el vídeo muestra imágenes de ese mismo viaje hasta la estación de Nuevos Ministerios. Cabe destacar, como importante detalle, que a partir de la estación de Pacífico funciona el anuncio automático de estaciones por megafonía, teleindicadores de LED y televisores. De esta manera, la línea 6 deja de ser la última de la red madrileña en carecer de este sistema.


Inauguration and first journey of the new 8000 series metro trains for the Madrid's Metro line 6 - Circle. The event, co-hosted by the President of the Madrid Region, Esperanza Aguirre, and Madrid's City Council, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, started at 12:00pm at Laguna's depot. After watching three of the new trains and giving both lectures, the hosts, their delegation and the press started the first journey with passengers. The chosen train was the 14th bi-tension 8000 (cars from M-8487 to M-8492), which is the 4th of the new trains (we must remember that 10 three-car bi-tension sets were bought in 1999 in the first 8000 series order).

The train travelled from the depot to Laguna's station to pick its first passengers and resumed the trip through the track 1 (anticlockwise). The Delegation left the train at Arganzuela-Planetario station, although the video shows parts of the travel until Nuevos Ministerios. It's important to mention that from Pacífico station, the automatic announcement of stations via voice, LED boards and televisions is working. Thanks to this, the 6th line stops being the only one in the whole Madrid's network without this system.
