I had the priviledge to hear him play at a performance in my highschool back in the late 80s. Leonid is one of the most underrated pianists of our time. I was so touched by his performance that day that I never forgot his name. After the concert he met with a group of us students, he was so eager to share his gift and instill the love of this music to others. I still have his autograph from back then. I wish he would perform more often, he's a great pianist and a really nice guy!

Leonid is one of the GREATEST pianists of this or ANY century! He is amazing - and a really nice person, too!

After looking around, I'd have to say that this is one of the best on youtube.
-
if it was slower it would be so much sicker

Is too speed, I prefer the slower version.

the start(0.00-0.21) is too fast...all the atmosphere is gone..
-
@dpludwig It's a forceful piece.

Kuzmin is one of the most phenomenal pianists alive, anyone who has heard his recording would probably agree. His Islamey is mind-boggling, as is the Schulz-Elver Blue Danube transcription. Have to say though, this video did not impress me very much, but still, I really enjoyed watching this.
