Electric scooter test drive at San Francisco

We took a good fifteen minutes of video today riding the E-Ranger Scooter from the GG Park/Fulton/Baker area up Masonic to Pacific Heights. Our route then proceeded back up and down Golden Gate St., then back to Divisadero, down to Fell and over to where we started at the park. Overall, we rode up and down many hills of varying inclines, from a 15% to 35% grade with absolutely no problems. I would say the durability and flexibility of the vehicle is equal to any test not involving a hill above 40%. One thing we noticed throughout our ride is that over most of San Francisco, simply by diverting a block or two from a steep 40%+ hill, you'll find a less steep one in the next block or two to traverse. The amount of electric charge used was negligible.

@huebear do you not read? its an eectric bike. which means that it dosent use fuel. and comon sence would state that an electric bike (let alone a vespa or moped) could not go freeway speeds.

In Canada,e-scooters are legally bicycles-500w and under and can go where bicycles go,as long as local bylaws allow it.
