This is my looped version of the famous "Canon in D" by Pachelbel. It was recorded completely live at a gig in Cambridge in December 2009. I play the repeating bass line using bass pedals, and then do the three canonical violin lines using loop and replace with a Gordius midi foot controller linked to a Macbook Pro running Logic and Sooperlooper. This concert was the first outing for my new Bridge 5-string electric violin: A great instrument! More about me at www.stevebingham.co.uk. Follow me on Twitter - Steve_Bingham. • Beautiful... so good to listen a real professional looping violinist

  • @XzevastianX Glad you liked this: Well done on your own improvs - which I've been listening to. Best wishes, Steve

  • It is very intresting to see a single man play the whole piece on just one instrument without any problems and it even still sounds great!

    Thumbs up for this masterpiece!

  • @dasveit It's just a bit of showing off really - but fun to be able to do it all on my own! Best wishes, Steve

  • hi! Im already 25 (turning 26 in a few months) and I have almost zero background in playing the violin. I even forgot the basics! the last time I held this instrument was when I was 7 :( I really loved your rendition of this piece. How many years do u think will it take me to play this?

  • @aquilalegis1 If you like a challenge then maybe a minimum of 3 years to learn to play the violin enough to play the actual notes in the Pachelbel, and then a few more months to master the looping technology.........!! Sadly the violin isn't an easy instrument to pick up :-( Best wishes, Steve
