Hi, I just replaced a new chain on my bike, a local shop told me to place the rear wheel in the center to have enough room to tight or loose the chain registration when needed in the future. thanx...

Everything is carcinogenic! As we all awake from sleep everyday, we must face the risks we undertake when leaving the bed. Being risk aware and informed, the person in the video chose not to worry.
Thanks for your thoughtful suggestion. We're approving your comment so others who share your concern can read it.

Hi AcidJazz, that level of instruction would mean to me that you are seeking a more fundamental level of education. Perhaps you can apprentice at a local shop to see it for yourself a few times?

great video but the only thing you didnt mention was how much chain to take off and if the wheel tensors have to be loose or thight or if the wheel have to be placed in the center of the tighting space
how do i find out about what lenght of chain that i need

@desmosedicimeccanica : your owner's manual or count the length of your current chain. The easiest way to count a chain is to count the side-plates and then multiply by 2 to get the number of pins (or "links").

Hi, great video, thaanks. Could you please comment on the brand of chain tool you are using? Thanks again!

@TheYellowDuc : Sudco International Corp formerly imported that tool from Japan and discontinued it sometime around 2002. Sorry!
