The Australian Chamber Orchestra performs an excerpt from Janacek's String Quartet No.1, "The Kreutzer Sonata", arranged by Richard Tognetti. This was filmed at Melbourne Town Hall during a performance of Kreutzer vs. Kreutzer, which combines Laura Wade's theatrical realisation of Tolstoy's Kreutzer Sonata with performances of the Beethoven and Janacek Kreutzer Sonatas. A video by Philippe Charluet - Stella Motion Pictures.
I want to play in such a great orchestra :D

@Turquoisen You may already know this, but Tolstoy's book is named after Beethoven's "Kreutzer Sonata." This piece by Janacek is in turn based off of Tolstoy's book.
Sorry if that was redundant.
This is one of my favorite string quartets and my favorite piece by Janacek. I'd never heard it for larger ensemble before--it's wonderful!

I loved it, I just read the Tolstoy book and I wanted to hear the sonata. It is beautiful.
