That was just a dummy stuffed with newspapers. I cut a hole in the back and front of the shirt to put the metal pole through. Poured some fake blood and pinned a mask full of more newspapers on the shoulders.

One year, we did all aliens. I used an old pop-up camping tent as a spaceship. As much as I love Halloween, each year is getting less inviting. From about 500 kids each year, down to 130 this past year. Makes the effort of decorating seem less and less worth it. Although, I'll never stop carving my pumpkins.

That's the problem when you're decorating on a budget. Use what you have and whatever you can get.

This year, I am getting rid of a lot of the smaller stuff and just putting up easy and large noticeable things. I have 19 inflatables now and will put up other lighted objects, but cut back a lot.

That's so sad you're going to cut back. Your set up is fantastic. I love it. My sister and I do a halloween party every year and would kill for some of your stuff. We haven't done it very long, so we dont have nearly your collection. Do you buy or make more of your stuff?

nice stuff. I decorate my house every halloween even though we get no trick or treaters and we are the only ones that see it.

Dude, I get like, 3, trick or treaters a year. It's still worth it though, particularly since those 3 trick or treaters hit the motherload and walk away with a handful of full size bars.
