CIRCULAR DISSIPATOR:

This is only a prototype, the design is not final. I've added an additional layer of finesse: gravitational fields can now also actively push objects away instead of pulling them in. The two effects can also be altered by the push of a button. That's what I tried here - the gravity will constantly switch between pushing the tanks onto the border circle and pulling them to the center circle.

This is a preview of one of the maps of the level I'm currently working on. The level is called "Planetary Tanks!". 1-4 Players can play against each other. Each player mounts a tank which can charge and shoot bullets. The tanks, bullets and any other objects (such as fragments from planets) will be affected by a custom gravity engine of sorts. Each planet is surrounded by a gravitational field which pulls objects in. There's two main game modes: "Hits" and "Survival". "Hits" scores points for hitting other players, obviously. "Survival" is a fair alternative; the score of all players increases every 0.5 seconds as long as they stay alive. Last one alive wins the battle, plain and simple.

The project is currently in development. It's about 80% done. I've got 10 different maps to choose from at the moment; the final version will feature over 15 and will probably be released somewhere around the end of march.

    Oh I WISHED it would have been so simple. That's the basic concept, yes, but I've got different gravitational systems on the tanks, planet pieces, meteors and cannonballs which all work in a slightly different way, so I had to tweak each of them in a specific way.

    Indeed, especiall the emitter-nesting. In the level, 4 different tanks are emitted which can emit bullets which can emit a glowing trail. Long story put short - each time I make a change to the tanks, bullets, trail or anything, I have to spend 10 minutes re-selecting everything for the emitters. And this easily happened more than a 100 times already.
