  • Jim was not a God. He was a human being like most of us. However, he was a talented singer, lyricist, poet, performer. It's 2.00am in the morning, cold, and Jim's vocal delivery is neither slurred nor bereft of diction. I was fortunate to be at the event with my brother - I was 16 - and The Doors set was a highlight of the festival along with Jimi Hendrix and Taste. The full set on audio is proof Jim & band sounded great. I like the dim light, Jim's beard, his voice, the music, I love The Doors.

  • @RonnieKerrigan what a lucky man, the doors jim, and hendrix in one concert and the many others like miles a really great part of the history to live it.

i recently heard a interview of jim later this festival and he say that was on the top of her physical health, he didn't sleep in 24 hours.

  • Why DMC didn`t release the whole live film or cd of Isle of Wight ? I`m Waiting for so long.

  • @DarthXasthur But after the acid, peyote and weed he turned to cocaine and alcohol. Watch "When You're Strange". Densmore even confirmed this!

  • @finylvinyl66 I was para phrasing, clever dick. "Scream of the butterfly". It's daft everybody knows butterflies don't scream. But seriously, his lyrics could be cringeworthy at times and I am a fan and been to Père Lachaise etc. etc. but never bought leather trousers though.

  • @Easyandy100 Really, Except you messed up the lyric.

  • "Before I hear the scream of the butterfly" Really?

  • He is still alive in all of us who beleive.NEVER EVER STOP BELEIVING.

    DEATH COMES TO US ALL.

  • He is still alive in all of us who beleive.NEVER EVER STOP BELEIVING.

  • @cbarrett34 damn alcohol

  • Its about as rare as going out to the shop and buying a can of pepsi!....

  • You can tell that he put his heart into this and "The End" at this concert but not the others he sang that day ... This was truly the beginning of "The End" ...Compared to earlier concerts when he was on his game he is just a shell of his former self at this point ... Dead man walking ... RIP Mr. Mojo Risin ...
