For you're information, this was the front that The Beatles had invented as a sort of facetious "joke" that would also help them duck the heat and keep Haters from thinking that they were making songs about drugs. I mean honestly, that story doesn't even make the slightest bit of sense when you think about how involved they were with drugs and the fact that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds makes LSD in it's initials.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds actually wasn't meant to say LSD. It was a drawing that John's son brought home from school. Lucy was a kid in his school.

John Lennon's son made a picture of a girl he liked in the sky. The stars looked like diamonds to him so he wrote "Lucy in the sky with Diamonds". The song may be about LSD, but the title has nothing to do with it...
