Rock Prodigy is like having a personal trainer for guitar. Transform your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Windows computer into the ultimate guitar learning tool using any guitar. You'll be playing within minutes and having a blast!

** Limited time offer - Beginning Guitar Courses Level 1 & Level 2 included -- 70% off **

Rock Prodigy is your personal instructor that listens to your guitar, shows you what to play, and gives you points for hitting the right notes.

Each Rock Prodigy course is specifically designed and sequenced to get you playing faster than ever. As a Rock Prodigy student you will enroll in clear, structured courses organized in a complete daily calendar that you can follow at your own pace.

Great teachers make a difference!
With Rock Prodigy you will be learning from some of the world's best teachers. Our guitar teachers are professionals trained at Musicians Institute. Their lessons and songs are set within a teaching system developed by Dr. Richard Gard of Yale University. We utilize the best education science of the past 40 years so Rock Prodigy students learn quickly -- even students who tried to play guitar before.

How it works
Rock Prodigy first checks to see what you already know, and then teaches you a new skill in a few minutes. From there, we practice the skill with you and get you ready for your next challenge.

You will play songs -- fast
Rock Prodigy is focused on the goal of making music, so we teach you a song at Milestones using all the skills you learned in the last few lessons. This strengthens your musical skills AND you will have a blast, playing along with your teacher and a drummer.

Components of your success

Subjects of your study
Rock Prodigy lessons cover all five topics: Pitch, Rhythm, Scales and Chords, Strumming/Picking, and Style.

Move quickly -- or not
Some students already know a few things on the guitar, or they pick up a new skill easily. Rock Prodigy uses Challenges to decide when you should skip some lessons. You can use all of the lessons and exercises as much as you want, but if you are in a hurry to play for friends and family you can skip ahead and advance quickly using Challenges. Students rate the Challenges as one of the most fun things to do in Rock Prodigy.

Exercises
Teachers know that structured exercises develop strong fingers and quick reflexes, but Rock Prodigy takes a cue from the hand-eye coordination developed by video games and puts our super efficient exercises inside of music games. You can be as competitive as you want while you build awesome technique and reflexes.

Award Winning Technology
Rock Prodigy's multi-award winning pitch detection technology was co-invented by the PhD Head of Computer Music at Carnegie Mellon. The lesson plan is powered by a Yale Professor, so if you're ready for real results, Rock Prodigy is the system for you.

When you buy one of the Rock Prodigy courses you get dynamic real-time feedback, an onboard tuner, customizable feature options, and lessons from today's top professional musicians so you'll be playing right away.

The team at Rock Prodigy knows that measuring your progress and seeing your improvement is important to achieving your goals so The Path to Rock Prodigy was created to synchronize your progress to the cloud -- automatically -- so you can focus on playing. You can check your history at anytime through your Rock Prodigy account. The Path takes care of the rest!

Rock Prodigy offers the only system that:
• Teaches you concepts and skills in progressive music courses
• Tells you what is best to practice and when
• Lets you hear what you are supposed to sound like
• Listens to every note you play

This app is a ripoff. I paid the $20 and it came with NO songs. All songs must be purchased separately. If I had known that I would not have purchased. Very misleading.

Sorry for the confusion. We thought we made it as clear as possible in the iTunes description that Rock Prodigy is for beginners and comes with over 150 free beginner lessons/exercises. We also say that songs are an additional in-app purchase. Please feel free to visit our website and scroll to the bottom to email our support team for additional help! Sorry again for the confusion. - Rock Prodigy Team

Its not a new idea..I have had 'Tabs' ( A guitar tabs app) on my phone for years. It has a running guitar neck too. This new one just looks fancier. How much is this one I wonder? Not saying its no good. Just its not new.

Definitely not saying it's a new idea! The difference is that Rock Prodigy uses polyphonic pitch detection so that you get interactive real time feedback. You play, Rock Prodigy 'listens' and scores your performance. It's kinda like a video game for learning guitar! Max respect and thanks for your post!
