  • Have a friend travel to alaska and live there for a while then he came back cuz he said that place is boring

  • @trivuong - Hi -How sad for your friend. Here he goes to what is called "the last frontier" on our earth and he finds Alaska boring. Maybe he has no idea of how to fish for salmon, or fish for the best halibut in the world. Perhaps those Alaskan girls are just not his style (ya right). Maybe he wants to watch wildlife in a movie about animals in the wild instead of seeing them up close and in person. Before you "buy into" his "downer" on Alaska - you go there and judge it for yourself.

  • Hi Zombieman - Pleased that you enjoyed the video. Everytime I watch it I can taste those great clams. Just yesterday my wife said "lets go back to Alaska and spend a longer time in Homer." Yea - you bet. This time I will make sure I am there for 2 extra low tides (that is when you can go clam digging) and enjoy those great clams 2 times.

  • where is in Alaska??

  • @Geefa1234 - Hi not sure just what your question is, but I did nte clam digging in Homer, Alaska.

  • Thanks for the video! I have been looking for how to do it!

  • @andywhitaker907

Hi Andy - I am pleased that you like the video. I don't know your location

but you do not have to go to Alaska to go clam digging. However, it was

a great place because of the very low tides.

  • @JerryFShea Hi For me i dont think Alaska is boring but i dont have a gut to travel that far....the reason he said that place is boring because he told me is it very stressful cuz the sun sometime nv goes down or the sun sometime nv goes up....i think digging clamps is very fun activity :D i also like your video too.

  • you shuck them and eat them out of the shell rit on the dpot

  • @JerryFShea Oh, and almost forgot, zombieman is just my son's name on youtube. HAha, but I'm Dave and it's great talking with you Jerry.

  • @JerryFShea Thank you Jerry, sometimes takes a while with a busy life with my 12yr old son, and now a 2 week old son!! But thanks for the reply. I hope you and your wife go back, and spend more time there. Get those 2 extra low's, it'll be worth it!! I would love to someday go there and experience it myself. I love the hobby, but never got to do it yet. Good luck Jerry to you and your wife, and get those clams!! I am having cherrystone's tonight as a matter of fact!! haha.. keep in touch!

  • That was a great vid. Thanks. I am a clam crazy from PA, and I actually prefer the large, cherry stone, or bigger chowder clams to steam and eat. I make a sauce of butter, garlic powder, and Franks red hot sauce with a little onion powder to melt to perfection. You dip a full size clam in that sauce, you fall in love. They are big and sometimes chewy yes, but if steamed slow on med. heat, they get happy and not bad. Takes about an hour and a half til they open but tender!
