@therealmcnulty You must be responding to something I posted over 2 yrs ago so I can't remember exactly what I said then. I do believe you can gain a spiritual experience through natural means without drugs & alcohol. I sure wouldn't bother with AA's program to accomplish that, but if it works for some people, that's OK with me.

@prschuster actually if you study carl jung, which I doubt you have, alcoholics and really any form of addiction is a seeking of a spiritual experience through artificial means. what aa does is teach a way of gaining a spiritual experience through natural means, by helping others, sharing experiences, etc. you don't need AA to beat alcohol but you do need to find some way to gain a spiritual experience, "spiritus contra spiritum"

Alcoholism is not caused by drinking to much.

Yo-Yo,I'd drink with them and then some.

If you really care about youngsters then try not to be so foul in the way you express yourself, its very unattractive.

Is nice to see young people enjoying themselves even if that involves getting smashed from time to time.Enjoy your youth and hopefully come through it unscathed .
My preching to others or thinking i know whats best for them is complete bullshit and i choose to live and let live and hope people dont have bad experiences .If any one ever wants my help or advice i wait for them to ask.

Preaching to adolescents wont help, you know nothing of my vast experience of life to call me an idiot .If you think adolescents or teeenagers will respond well to your ides then go ahead, i prefer how i handle lifes situations having two teenage daughters and a 23 year old son .lmao
When you have walked a mile in my shoes , then you will be qualified to say weather im an idiot.
You also need to get yourself a sense of humour instead of being so damn serious.

You're 44 years old, you idiot. These girls could be your daughters. Isn't it time you grow up? There's 5 girls there. One will grow up to have severe drinking and drug problems. That's the stats. I hope ONE of these girls don't kill themselves or really badly hurt someone, someday. If these concerns of mine of teenagers drinking in today's 120mph world gives AA a bad name then so be it. I'll help watch over the youth. You go look like you do: an old guy pretending to be young. Clown.

There's a chair with your name on it at AA girls!!

I go to AA, and I find some good stuff in the rooms...I fucked my life up pretty bad, and I like the support I get out of it, and leave the meetings feeling good. That's my experience!
