  • Thanks!

The amazing thing is that the rim is a three ply, only about 1/4" thick, with a skin head and no tone ring. Ken Bloom made it. It is a pleasure to play.

  • whoa! amazing! "angeline" is the title of this master piece?

  • Yes, the title is "Angeline". It is one of themany great tunes that Dave taught me. The tune is from a Virginia fiddler, Norman Edmunds. Glad you liked it!

  • yeah! i do! i like it! do you know why the title is ANGELINE?.. who's dave by the way?

  • Dave is Dave Forbes, my friend, and the fiddler.

I notice that you have an interest in "Angeline" tunes and songs.

I assume that this version of Angeline is on the spectrum starting with the Stephen Foster song "Angelina Baker" which is presumed to be the inspiration for traditional fiddle tune "Angeline the Baker".
