Leave it to Mary Chapin to write such a moving song about all the lives lost on September 11,2001. I watched her tell the story of how she came to write this song and it made me cry....and I cry every time I hear this song. Hauntingly beautiful. BRAVO, Mary Chapin Carpenter, BRAVO!!

a powerful poignant and timely song from the wonderful Mary Chapin Carpenter. My favorite singer-songwriter who shows how to write a beautiful song that takes something so big and breaks it down to the individual

Wonderful, moving. You produced such an excellent video and sound - the pictures are vivid and keep reminding us . . . we have to protect our freedom.

This song is about my husband Jim who Mary never met but caught the absolute essence of his being. It took my breath away the first time I heard it and continues to every time I hear it. Will always make me relive those days
10 years later it is still the quintessential piece of music about residual effects on men like my Jim. CNN did a great piece about them- I hope they put that up on the 'tube as well...

Thanks for including the ambulance picture in this video. There were many medics that lost their lives at work that day.
