@agnostos1000 All two stroke diesels have blowers.  They can't run without them for exhaust scavenging.

I think you need to do some research on Detroit 2 strokes... Or at least some MORE research. Duramax is a great light to medium duty diesel... A Detroit will not only pull 80 tons down the road with ease, A lot of big rig racing trucks utilize Detroit 2 stroke diesels.. A 6V71T is a beast, an 8V71 is a a beast also, then we get in to a 12V71 or 12V149, or a 16V149, or the ultimate beast, the 24V71... Like I said, do some further research.

@matty8371 Detroit diesels are two stroke, they sound like they are running twice as fast. Instead of a power stroke every 4 strokes, they make power every 2.

Just to clear things up a Duramax is 6.6 L and it will do circles around any Detroit diesel ever built. Don't get me wrong great looking truck, and sounds excellent!!!

@12valvepower1 actually those blowers on the detroits dont put out much boost. mostly high volume airflow
