Chapter 129: TCA Performance part 1 (4/10)

"She is a bi-" John Taylor began.

"John," Joe cut across him in a warning tone.

"-tch," Garbo finished.

"Greg!" Kevin said, slapping his arm.

"What? I didn't cuss. John started it, I finished it for him," he said innocently. My brothers and I shook our heads and laughed.

When Joe and Kev had woke up, Nick had shown them the video while I took a shower. They read my song, and agreed that I should sing it tonight. We had just shown the vid to the band.

"I can't wait to see her face tonight when you sing this sweetie," Nick whispered into my ear. I giggled...neither could I.

"We have a special suprise for you tonight. Please welcome Nicole Jonas to the stage!" Miley said to the crowd. They went nuts.

I walked onto stage holding my acoustic. I was in a pair of skinny jeans and a nice long sleeved shirt that hugged my form. It showed my curves. I was wearing it to show Kelly I wasn't ashamed of myself.

I sat down on a stool that had been placed in the middle of the stage. I smiled to the audience and waved.

"Hey guys. Tonight, I'm going to play a brand new song that I wrote today. How many of you...have ever questioned your looks?" I asked. Hands raised into the air. "I did that today. This morning, as I watched a talk show, a host said some things about me.

"When Nick woke up, he came in to my room to see me crying. He began to comfort me, and once I had stopped, he asked me what was wrong. That's when I asked him what I wanted desperately to know."

The crowd was silent, listening closely.

"Does my voice sound like I sing through my nose? That was my first question. He replied immediately, telling me my voice was amazing. Then I asked if I had missed out on the good looking genes in our family, as the host said I had. He tried to cheer me up by saying I had mor good looking genes then all of them put together."

The crowd laughed, I cracked a small smile, and my chuckling brothers were put up on the screens on stage.

"But the third question was what shocked him the most. Am I fat? He answered at once, saying that I was beautiful. If I was, then why did this person say those things? That's when smarty pants, deep Nicholas Jonas told me some of the best advice I've ever received..."

I smiled at Nick, and he was plastered onto the plasmas once again.

"Believe in yourself. Don't let others cloud your views," I told the crowd. They clapped at the quote. "I was letting what this person said, get the best of me. I actually considered losing the weight they had said...20 pounds."

A collective gasp came from the crowd.

"Yeah, my brothers were shocked when they saw it too. But I have something to tell that host. I'm not going to say who it is, but I hope they are listening to this," I said. "I just want to say..."

I searched out Kelly in the audience. I found her watching with a scowl on her face. I looked straight into her eyes and said,

"Thank you."

Once again, the crowd gasped, but my brothers, Demi, Selena, and the band smiled at me.

"You've taught me something. I've learned that I just gotta Believe In Me."

With that, I began to play.
