I apologize for the lack of info-- this was originally made for a private individual and I didn't realize it was viewable to everyone!
I used 4 yards of fabric in this video, but 6 yards is a more common length, especially if you are bigger or want to do other carries that require more fabric.
You want it to be about 30 inches wide. Since most fabric is sold 60 inches, what I did was buy 2 yards and cut it in half lenthwise and then sew the 2 pieces together making 4 yards 30inches wide.
