Lindsey Graham chose to make the Senate hearings of the confirmation of Elena Kagan a joke. He asked her where she was on "Christmas Day." NOTICE how Kagan turns a [fake] cackle into an abrupt snear. It turns my stomach. She is a communist, check out her background. She's surrounded herself with socialists and communists. I NEVER thought I'd see the day.

  • what a prick...

  • @Jeansschwimmer ...to take care for everyone.

We have been doing well with healthcare over here for over 120 years by now. It is part of the profit that someone makes when at work that is taken off his salary and the employers gains ( basically on a 50 : 50 basis) to go into social security assurance.

    healthcare - unemployment - pensions

  • @Jeansschwimmer sorry: There is a saying...

  • @Jeansschwimmer Their is saying by a French philosopher: Law in its majesty makes everybody equal so that neither the poor nor the rich may beg for bread in the streets or sleep under bridges.

As a socialdemocrat I do not mind people being rich but I do not want them to tell a homeless family that it is their fault to have lost their home and to leave the park where they have settled for the night. I see no fault in using their tax millions to take for everyone.

  • @Jeansschwimmer Communist have therefore defamed socialdemocrats as traitors to the working class. They have only hoped for a maximum of social injustice as a driving force for their revolution ( and their party tyranny).

Look at Germany 1930- 1932: Stalin ordered the communist party to fight the socialdemocrats more than Hitler- in parliament and on the streets.

  • @Jeansschwimmer In contrast to the extreme marxists the more moderate social democrats have realized that they are not alone in this world and that the Marxist presumption that the entire society will only consist of a handful of capitalists and 99% of industrial workers who are exploited is in reality a dream that has nothing to do with a more and more complicated modern world.

Their idea is limiting the political influence of money and taking care for all people.

  • @Jeansschwimmer Communism is for him the ends of all political struggles of people on the question what makes people rule others or being rules by others.

The flaw of course is that

1st. not everyone is made happy in such a society-

2nd it can only "work" with an enormous of bureaucracy.

3rd: biggest flaw: the distrust for the people is so great that only a one-party rule can make the system work.

That is the beginning of tyranny of course.

  • @diamondsweetful You want to know what a socialist or communist really is?

1st: A comnunist believes that the evil of evils is private ownership of all "means of production". He is not decided about the small garage or bakery around the corner, but at least factories must belong to the public so that no big private profit is made that ends in individual purses.

2nd. He thinks that this socialist economy is the basis of real freedom.

3rd. He thinks that all people like that.

  • @Jeansschwimmer tell me about it

  • @JohnnyRock2000

I would have liked to see Norman Finkelstein asking the questions at the hearing instead of that kissass Lindsey Graham! :D
