  • ur welcome

  • 1joker88, there is no Original Sister living today. All have gone home. What is left of the davis family is children, grandchildren, etc, most still live in philly.

  • Yea SP457, the Davis Sisters have added a special touch to this song, that only they can do. Ruth Davis is singing this song like wants the master to say well done.

  • Yeah, vsumass, this song is a standard hymnal. Written and composed by great pioneer composer Sis. Lucie E. Campbell.

  • Now aalup! I know you have heard of the Davis Sisters all your life. I know you are a fan. lol. Thanks for listening.

  • My grandmother use to lead this song at my church. Since she was called to glory on June 2, 2011 this has been in my head. I'm glad I found it.. Thank you for posting this video..

  • Oh this was my Aunt Mary's fav spiritual....thank you thank you for putting it up and bringing sweet memories back to me. Such feeling, such beautiful soul in these sisters' voices, tears streaming down my face with joy and remembrance. thank you..

  • Thanks for posting. I love the Davis Sisters and all of that great gospel music from long ago. This is music that I enjoyed listening to on radio station WDIA of Memphis,TN. I think Mark Stansbury plays some of the old gospel songs on Sunday afternoons,on WDIA.

  • I heard this song on the radio back in 2008 when the radio played the flash back of old gospel music, wow, I never knew this was the davis sisters because I did not listen to the annoucement of the artist. I'm amazed, wow. This is when I did not watch to much youtube like I do now, I know more older gospel singers now, lol.

  • I have very fond remembrances of this song. thank you so much for taking the time to post these songs and for helping keep our gospel history and memories alive. the songs they sing now have no musical soul or depth to them. These songs stir the soul. Again, thank you.

  • @goodstiff yep, they sure do

  • @PurpleSnowman29 and 2 inlaws too. my grandpop who was married to thelma and my aunt mary who was married to one of the brothers

  • oh how i remember this song..thanks for posting...

  • @vancoscellos I agree. I would like Gospel to go back to basics.

  • This is more impassioned than "soul" music it inspired You can't fake it! Great track!
