Platoon is a 1986 American war film written and directed by Oliver Stone and starring Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe, Charlie Sheen & Keith David. It is the first of Stone's Vietnam War trilogy, followed by 1989's Born on the Fourth of July and 1993's Heaven & Earth.

  • @SamanthaVlassis i usually throw them away.. i like to keep my collection nice and neat..

  • maybe in your reviews you could say something about the picture quality and how it compares to the DVD version? I already have the DVD so I don't know if I should get the blu-ray

  • @TheMarabouStork I think i did say in the end that i've watched the movie and the image was great! i think you should get it, i give this one 9 stars for video, not wicked awesome blu-ray quality but its a LOT better than dvd.. i have no complaints whatsoever, it looked great in high def..

  • i wanted to pick this up it looks like a fantatic picture i never seen this .bluray.com gave the pq a 4 out of 5 so i would say that is a good tranfer not a fantastic but still good ,i normal go with what blu ray.com says when it comes to pq and sq so yup your word is nice but for me i rather take bluray.com review but sitll thanks for yoru workd one the film.

  • you should get the bluray version of the film, cause BD has 6 times the screen resoultion of DVD. I need to rebuy Platoon my dvd version of it is FUcked up
