This brief video is a "sizzle reel" I've put together to illustrate my concept for a documentary that I am in the midst of raising funds to produce. The film is about the influence of Iranian Americans and it's entitled, The REAL Shahs of Beverly Hills.

Persians account for half of 1% of America's population. Yet, this miniscule minority is responsible for well-known companies on the NASDAQ and they make up 40% of the population of Beverly Hills. Yet the only depictions of this over-achieving minority that the media portrays is reality show, "The Shahs of Sunset", and offensive stereotypical depictions of wife beaters and terrorists. Society needs to be made aware that Iranian Americans are responsible for companies such as eBay, Qualcomm, YouTube and Expedia, just to name a few.

This is an important film because not only will it change the world's perception of Iranians but it will inspire people from all walks of life to shoot for the stars and push the limits of their potential. My goals in making this documentary are not only to honor and spotlight this miraculous minority for their exemplary achievements but also to bring them into a proper light in the eyes of the world. Perhaps one day when an Iranian is being asked to step out of line at the airport, it won't be because he or she is being racially profiled but rather to say, "thank you for making the world a better place."

I'm Persian and I'm in medical school...I love all minorities and wish that all minorities as well as the majority matter of fact all people were taught to be hard working so that they could enjoy life...that's our mentality...that's what we learn as children....Felan bokhor noon oh tareh badan bokhor noon oh kareh..which translates...eat bread and lettuce now so you can enjoy bread and butter later...delayed gratification and planning for the future..

Out of every single Persian family that I know, 3 out of 4's parents have a masters or doctorates. Out of every wasp I know, 1 out of 30 parents have a masters or doctorates. It ain't rocket science. The facts and evidence is way too overwhelming. The same probably goes for Jewish ppl however, they own all media nd ensure they don't blow their cover, ie give too much info and make ppl right pissed and hate them out of jealousy. If ppl realized the econ control they have they'd be up in arms.

Jealousy is a bitch. The thing Persians do not have is a monopoly on Media in North Am to present the facts and realities pertaining to their overachiever mentality. It's the same thing in Canada, Persians own and live in the most affluent areas, ie West Vancouver, where home start at 2.5 million. Everyone who resides in these areas and has a clue is fully aware of it, further, 2/3 of the engineering department at SFU are Persians. Prob is ppl realize it then get jealous and then evil.
