Tom Doyle opening the show at the Iridium - Mr Sandman

Tom Doyle has been making superb guitars for over 40 years. His instruments have been played and enjoyed by top professional and serious amateurs. He is also the inventor of the T.W. Doyle pick-ups system, which is unmatched in the resonance and depth it brings to electric guitars. The unique quality of Tom Doyle's artistry is attested to by the fact that he has been the luthier to Les Paul for many years. In addition, Tom is a master guitarist who has developed his own distinctive finger picking style which he combines in his playing with a rare sense of musicality.




Some of Tom Doyle's clients, in addition to Les Paul, include George Benson, Jimmy Page, Sting, Phoebe Snow, and Vic Juris. He is currently devoting himself to making custom guitars, each one built to superbly fit the personal standards and esthetics of the player.




Along with his work as a luthier extraordinaire, Tom maintains a performing schedule and occasionally conducts guitar seminars. This year as he has done in the past, Tom will perform at the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention in Nashville, an annual forum and showcase for the world's top finger-style guitarists.




Tom is always pleased to take new orders for custom instrument. He will expertly match the exacting specifications of the most discerning musicians.
