At 0:29, you can see the concrete foundation walls just hang there, hanging by a thread...in this case, rebar. The water had ample fluid force that it undermined the foundation walls and caused half of the home to collapse. In fact, levee collapses in Katrina were quite similar, as they were UNDERMINED, not just knocked down.

ever heard of the man who built his house on sand. duh i no i build a house on soft soil with no fixed foundations on a natural flood plain. a duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feel sorry for the people but duh

that was not a river it was a lake that flooded out one side and turned into a river
