Uhm I don't completely agree with you on some of those. Character Development requires characters that have chemistry with the main character, and they don't have to be social stereo-types. Also big breasts isn't necessary at all. I agree with your highschool thing, but not completely, I believe you should place them in settings which provide the character with the greatest amounts of possibilities, and what if you're in a different time period? These aren't essential. Work hard and good luck.

@HadesKnightHeero Yeah I agree with you! Number 19 is also bogus! Yes a lot of Visual Novels don't ever show the main characters face but that can be a sign of the writer being weak or lazy by relying on the player to fill in the gaps. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney franchise is very popular and you control another person that you can clearly see.
