  • Nice plane. It looked like the tail wheel may have been damaged on landing. Am I wrong?

  • @igo4mako Thanks for comments. the retract tail wheel was for a 90-120 size plane, therefore it sits a little lower. Also I sold this nice plane in the spring 2011. still kicking my butt for that. Someone in either Indiana or Illinois now owns it.

  • @pdubree I'm sure they love it. It looks great. What are you building next?

  • @igo4mako

just finished the H-9 Twin Otter. Electric of course. Plan to post video.

  • Cool! nice bird mate!, oh by the way its not a D thunderbolt its more like a B or C

  • @spitfireMK22 Thanks for the your comments. By the I modified this kit to a two piece wing for easy transport. According to the Topflite instruction the razorback version of thier kit is a P-47D R-23. I copied the blond angle from a 1/32 scale model I bought from walmart years ago. I'am not sure what model razorback the blond angle was. So the blond angle could be B or C. Any more info on this would be welcomed. She is a veteran of about 25 missions.

  • I have the XYZ 50cc now. How is it running for you these days? does it run better with age? Thanks!

  • I think that you are under the impression that all of the razorbacks were "B" and "C' models, and all of the bubble canopied airplanes were "D's". Actually, all of the Jugs up 'til the P-47 D-23 were razorback Thunderbolts. The first production bubble tops were the D-25's.

  • Nice looking plane. What's the weight? And the engine sounds good, too. Did you have it at full throttle? I'm looking to put this XYZ 50cc engine on my 78" Texas Hurricane. Are you happy with the engine?

  • Shorty

I'm running a 50cc XYZ Engine from HobbyKing in Honk Kong. Turns a 22/8 at 6800rpm static.
